Create a vision board

FreedomA vision board is a collage of images of all the things you would like to have or of what you would like to be. You can make a vision board out of card stock paper or you can make one on your computer and print it out. Personally I also have a little notebook where I glue images in of things that I want in my life.

A personal vision board is a very effective way to apply the Law of Attraction. By focusing on your goals and desires on a continuous basis you are feeding your subconscious mind with the goals you want to achieve. It is like you are building your own catalogue with orders you are placing at the Universe. When you look at your vision board imagine that you have already achieved or received it. Pay attention to how it makes you feel and really dwell on it.

When you create a vision board take the time to think about what you really want to manifest into your life. What is important to you? What would you like to achieve in your life? What makes you really happy? This can be related to all aspects of life; relationships, health, spirituality, family, wealth, etc. Make a list of all your goals and dreams.

After you have made a list with your goals and dreams, think about how you can translate these goals and dreams into images. Do you have pictures of your own or have you seen images you would like to use.

Examples of images for your vision board are:

  • If you want to live in a certain house - Images of your dream house
  • If you would like to change your weight - Images of a body you like to have with your face glued on it
  • If you would like to spend more time with your family - Images of you with your family in a happy moment
  • If you would like to be wealthy – Images of your bank account statement and the amount of money you would like to have in your account

When you just start with your vision board, try to only focus on your main goals. This way you will not loose sight of what is the most important to you.
Place your vision board in a prominent place in your house; somewhere where you will see it on a very regular basis. The more exposure you have to your vision board, the better it is. You might even make multiple boards at different places in your house, work, etc.

Once you have achieved a goal you can update your vision board.

We all need goals in our life, something to dream of or look forward to. Can you imagine having a life without any goals or to have a life in which you have everything you could ever want? I think that as we reach our goals there will always be something new or different we would like to achieve or have.

But what kind of goals are you setting? Do you have ‘toward’ goals or ‘away from’ goals? Do you set goals towards the things you want or do you set goals away from the things you do not want?

Examples of ‘towards’ goals are:

  • I want to have a toned body and weigh 57 kilo.
  • I want to have a promotion in my job.
  • I want to live a more joyful life.
  • I want to live in abundance in every aspect of my life.

Examples of ‘away from’ goals are:

  • I don’t want to be overweight anymore.
  • I don’t want to go to a job that I don’t like.
  • I don’t want to feel miserable anymore.
  • I don’t want to be in debt.

Although ‘away from’ goals can be very motivational, they are not the best goals in life to have. According to the Law of Attraction we attract in life what we are focusing on. Like attracts like.

So if you focus on how you don’t want to be overweight anymore, you are focusing on being overweight. If you don’t want to be in debt, you are focusing on the lack of money and incoming bills. If you keep thinking about that boring or horrible job you have you attract more of the situations you don’t want. So by focusing on the things you do not want, according to the law of attraction, you are attracting more of the same.

Instead of focusing on what you don’t want, you should set ‘towards’ goals. Start to make a list with goals of the things you want in life. Only focus on what you want and the Law of Attraction will attract what you focus on.

How to help the environment

Today is Blog Action Day. The aim of Blog Action Day is to help raise awareness for a certain issue; the environment. Over 14.000 bloggers have committed themselves to write a post about this issue and raise awareness and I am one of them.You can’t turn the news on these days or read a newspaper and not hear about global warming, polution, etc. It is one of the reasons why I don’t watch the news; it is depressing. That doesn’t mean that I am turning a blind eye to the issue; I am very conscious about the things we can do to help the environment.

Here are some tips for you that can help you save the environment.

  • Change your light bulbs to energy saving ones.
  • Turn off the light whenever you leave a room.
  • Turn off your electronics instead of leaving them on standby.
  • Unplug unused electronics.
  • Turn the temperature of your heater down by one or two degrees.
  • Use less water, do not let water run unnecessarily.
  • Recycle paper, cans, bottles, glass, plastic, etc.
  • Recycle your old stuff; sell it or donate it.
  • Use email instead of regular mail.
  • Print on both sides of a paper.
  • Walk or use a bicycle instead of a car.
  • Car pool to work or catch the public transport.
  • Use home remedies instead of chemical treatments.
  • Say no to plastic bags or re-use them as garbage bags.
  • Bring your own reusable bags when you go shopping.
  • Avoid over-packaged products; buy in concentrated form and buy refills.

What do you want in your life?

A little technique to help you on the way of manifesting the things you want in your life is making a list of all the things you desire, you want to have or be. Making that list will help you focus on the things you want to come into your life. The law of attraction states that ‘What we think about is what we bring about‘. The more you focus on what you want the easier it will be to manifest those things into your life.

Write down what you want to have or be

Take the time to think about all the things you would like to have in your life or what or how you want to be. Write everything down. It can be long or short term, something that is important or not so important, something that is big or small, it doesn’t matter. Write everything you would like to have or be down on a list.

Write the list in present tense and only write down what you want, so ignore what you do not want. Do not limit yourself in your ideas and do not censor your list because it might seem impossible to you. Just write everything down.

Write down the reasons why

After you have written down what you want to come into your life or what you want to be, write down all the reasons why you want it in your life. Writing down the reasons why you want something makes it crystal clear and enhances what you want. The more attention you give to something the more vibrations you are sending out to the universe.

Go through your list on a daily basis

During a quiet moment during the day have a look at your list and think about all the things you want. Visualize how your life will be when have manifested all the things you want into your life. Notice how you feel. Does it make you feel good? Hold on to that feeling.

Going through your list on a daily basis is great, but if you can, try to go through it twice or even three times a day. Like attracts like. If you think about it more and more, the universe will give you more of the same. It will not be long before you start to notice changes in your life.

Believe and expect to get it

Your desire for something can be very strong, but when you do not believe that it will become reality you are not ready to receive it. If you want desperately to become a millionaire but at the same time you do not want to spend any money because you think that you can not afford it, you will not become a millionaire. Instead of manifesting money into your life you are blocking it and you are probably manifesting more “I can not afford it” situations.

So once you have made your list and go through it on a daily basis have faith that whatever you desire is already yours. Believe that it will come into your life. Expect it to come into your life.

Update your list

As your life will start to change and you will manifest things into your life your list will change as well. You can cross certain things off your list and maybe new desires will come up. Keep working on your list on a regular basis and you will see the results.
